33 1994 Toxicology World Congress Abstracts, The World Congress of the World Federation of Associations of Clinlical Toxicology Centers and Poison Control Centers was held November 8-11 in Taipei, Taiwan. The meeting was particularly important because it attracted more than 300 emergency physicians, medical toxicologists, and occupational medicine health specialisits from around the world. Annals of Emergency Medicine was fortunate to have the opportunity to publish selected abstracts from the meeting. These abstracts were selected because of their quality and interest for emergency physicians. They offer a fascinating glimpse of emergency toxicologic problems in both developing and industrialized nations around the world. 1995
