This paper deals with the computation basedon an analytical model of the induced currents, thedensity of the active power in the sheet to be heated,the transversal profile of this density integrated alongthe sheet and the efficiency of an induction heatingsystem for thin sheets of transversal flux type. Theanalytical model uses a database that contains set ofresults of 3D numerical modeling performed withFlux3D. The analytical model is a useful tool for fastcomputation and can be easily coupled with anoptimization procedure in order to obtain a minimumnon-uniformity of the transversal profile of inducedpower in the sheet. |
