This paper presents environmental diagnosis developed in the neighborhood of Jardim das Flores, along the areas of permanent preservation of Olinda Creek, a tributary of the river Corumbataí, in the urban area of the Rio Claro, in São Paulo State. Thus, we analyzed the geological and urban growth of the site, relating them to increase the flow of Olinda Creek and its major environmental impacts. The problems identified are related especially to the poor design of the structures of the drainage system, the presence of garbage silted bed of the drainage and processes of instability of slopes. We used conceptual theories, empirical data and observations of the technical area and propose measures to improve the current conditions of the site, with emphasis on environmental education of the surrounding population.Keywords: Corumbataí river, Olinda Creek, Environmental impact. |
