The objective of that work was to evaluate the influence of the organic matter on the culture of the lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) in conditions of vegetation house. That research the following treatments were used: T1 - compost of garbage homemade; T2 – compost of garbage homemade and culture rest; T3 - compost of garbage homemade, culture rest and manure; T4 - compost of garbage homemade with manure biodigested; T5 - compost of garbage homemade, culture rest and manure biodigested; T6 - humus of bovine manure; T7 - soil (test). For mixture adopted (soil + composed) match 50ppm for each treatment, received for bucket the following amounts of compositions: 320; 320; 190; 340; 470 and 80g, corresponding to 16, 3; 16,3; 9,7; 17,3; 23,9 and 4 t ha-1. The design was completely randomized, with four repetitions. The results showed that the treatment T5 (compost of garbage homemade, culture rest and manure biodigested) substratum that presented larger bioprodução.Key-words: compost, vermicompost, lettuce.
