Contents: The application of the electrochemical processes in the treatment of wastewater is a modern and versatile technology that can be adapted any type of industrial effluent. This technique showed great evolution in the last decades, mainly regarding electrodes development. In this work, was used conductive oxides electrodes as DSA (Ti/Ru0,3Ti0,7O2) in the tertiary treatment of textile effluents containing reactive dyes. A reactor electrochemical was used with capacity to operate with a volume of 1000 mL of effluent in recirculation process. Using density of current of 100 mA.cm-2 could be observed reductions of 78% of the coloration of the effluent in 40 minutes of treatment. Other important parameters as Chemical and Biochemical Oxygen Demand (COD and BOD) and Total Organic Carbon (TOC) also showed significant reductions. The electrochemical treatment showed a cost relatively low in comparison with the conventional biological processes indicating that this technique can be developed for use great scale with good environmental results.
