This paper has intended to monitor, to analyze and characterize the gully erosion of Ribeirão Cachorra in the city of Paraíso do Tocantins seeking the causes of the erosive process. Accepted the meshes of reference methodology for the monitoring. These meshes were constructed using tape measure sledgehammer and cuttings (wood) around the gully, besides monitoring, physical and chemical tests were performed to observe the particle size characteristics and cations leaching. The results indicate that some points have tracked soil highly erosive, with rates of significant advance for the monitoring period. The particle size analysis shows that the gully soils are framed in classes silt and sandy demonstrating susceptibility to erosion. The resulted physical and chemical analysis demonstrated the soil are under cations leaching process and they are accumulated at horizon deepest. Corrective actions taken must, in order to contain the advance of this erosive process.Key-words: tracking, gully erosion, physical-chemical characteristics, leaching. |
