The main objective of this study is to perform a diagnosis of land use for the micro-watershed Timbaúba, located in the physiographic region Brejo Paraibano, municipality of Remigio-PB. In the survey of current usage, it was found that the exploitation of land by man and the preservation of the region, are disordered, without a plan that considers the productive potential of land, or the ability to use the different turf. By quantitative data of the intersection of information in current use with the ability to use the land it was found that the totals do not match the areas of values. This is due to errors in the original documents stored in the GIS, errors involved, and not compromise the final results. Classes II and III are occupied by only 36.0 ha with annual crops, when in reality there are 152.35 hectares available for this skill. The intense use of land to pasture, about 60.11 ha causing a conflict in use and occupation by the under-utilization of them. About Class VII, land suitable for pasture and forest (with limitations), with 7.43 ha, together occupying only 4.18 ha, a figure below that indicated for this type of use of land..Key-words: environmental diagnosis, microbasin, Remígio.
