This study identified the forest expansion partners propensity to remain in the fomentation programs taking into accountthe agrarian structure of the rural properties. The studied region is situated on the second paranaense plateau, and includes the citiesof Telêmaco Borba, Ventania, Curiúva, São Jerônimo da Serra, Figueira, Sapopema, Tibagi, Reserva, Ortigueira and Imbaú. Thedata gathering was carried out by application of 249 questionnaires, distributed at random. The use of the resources, access totechnical assistency and propensity to remain in the forest activity were the main variables researched. It was concluded that theproducers with smaller areas present greater dependence of fomentation programs and are the ones who have less access to technicalassistency. On the other hand, larger land owners present smaller propensity to remain in the fomentation programs, probablybecause they have major access to capital and technology to develop forest activities. |
