Contents: An amperometric biosensor for ethanol was developed based on immobilization ofalcohol dehydrogenase on screen-printed electrodes modified with electropolymerised MeldolaBlue carried out by cyclic voltammetry in the range from –0.6 to +1.4 V vs. Ag/AgCl. Thecalibration plots for ethanol in 0.1 mol.L-1 phosphate buffer pH 8.5 containing 0.1 M KCl showslinearity in the range from 0.1x10-3 to 25x10-3 mol.L-1 ethanol The biosensor showed nodecrease in sensitivity after 5 hours of continuous use.
