Metal complexes of the type : [Co(acac)(Aacac)(H2O)2], [Co(Aacac)2(H2O)2],[Co(Aacac)2(py)2], [Co(acac)(Aacac)(bipy)], [Co(Aacac)2(bipy)] and [Co(acac)(Aacac)(phen)],where acac = acetylacetone, Aacac = allylacetoacetate, py = pyridine, bipy = 2,2’-dipyridil andphen = 1,10-phenantroline have been prepared and studied by elemental and thermogravimetricanalyses, molar conductance measurements, IR and UV-VIS spectra. All the complexes have adistorted octahedral environment for the cobalt(II) ion. |
