Este trabalho teve como objetivo fazer um levantamento bibliográficoeletrônico de pesquisas que tratam da questão da identidade profissional do professor de língua inglesa no Brasil. No total foram encontrados seis textos que atendiam aos critérios estabelecidos: dois artigos e quatro dissertações. Em geral, os trabalhos se caracterizam por identificarem as representações identitárias de determinados grupos de professores ou da sociedade. As definições de identidade fornecidas em quatro dos seis textos caracterizam-nacomo sendo multifacetada, instável, não-fixa e construída sócio-histórico-culturalmente.An electronic bibliography search of studies on the issue of the English language teacher professional identity in Brazil is provided. Six texts with the established criteria were found: two articles and four MA dissertations. In general, the studies are characterized by identifying the identity representations of specific groups ofteachers or society. Definitions given by four out of the six texts characterize teacher’s identity as multifaceted, unstable, non-fixed and socio-historical-culturally constructed. |
