After the university's marketing department assumed responsibility for teaching tourism, it hosted an annual study abroad program in southwest Germany and its surrounding countries around the Vatertag vacation period as a pedagogical tool for simultaneously teaching tourism and international marketing. The innovative study abroad program, its methods, challenges, and quantitative and qualitative evaluations are analyzed for the benefit of professors who would like to offer a similar cultural and academic experience to their students. |
