A patterned ground phenomenon on the shore of Lake Ommern, western Sweden

Title: A patterned ground phenomenon on the shore of Lake Ommern, western Sweden
Author: Klingberg, Fredrik
Appeared in: GFF
Paging: Volume 103 (1982) nr. 3 pages 389-393
Year: 1982-01-15
Contents: Patterned ground phenomena within a lacustrine littoral zone have not been reported previously from southwestern Sweden. The patterned ground on the island of Lakarebo o consists of stone pits, sorted polygons, and a few boulder-free areas, as well as other features. Evidence is discussed as to whether the patterned ground was developed in an arctic climate with permafrost or in a temperate climate with seasonal variations. It seems that the present lake water level has influenced the development and it is likely that the phenomena have developed recently.
