Invasive eriophyoid mite species in mainland China are summarized. Their distributions and damage are reviewed based on our own investigations and latest information. Twenty-five eriophyoid mites are believed to be alien invasive species damaging crops, fruit trees, tea and forests. Some of them have caused considerable damage to agriculture, others are potentialally important economically and still others are not producing serious damage at present. Notes on some species are presented here to provide new information about their damage and importance in China. |
