STRUCTURAL PETROLOGY OF THE DZHUMGOL' GRANITE BATHOLITH IN THE NORTH TIEN' SHAN'

Title: STRUCTURAL PETROLOGY OF THE DZHUMGOL' GRANITE BATHOLITH IN THE NORTH TIEN' SHAN'
Author: Nosyrev, I. V.
Appeared in: International geology review
Paging: Volume 6 (1964) nr. 5 pages 860-866
Year: 1964-05
Contents: DzhumgoV granite batholith intruded during the main phase of the Caledonian igneous activity but after the main phase of folding had occurred (late syntectonic). Many of the classical internal granite tectonic structures described by Balk (1946) are present indicating the magma possessed considerable mechanical activity during emplacement of the pluton. Extensive reaction with country rocks occurred. The batholith is of mesozonal type as described by Buddington (1959) and has been intruded along the axis of an anticlinal fold R.M. Hutchinson
