Contents: . Multispectral video data were evaluated to determine their sensitivity to detect environmental conditions associated with hydrocarbon microseepage at the Pollard oil field. Biogeochemical analysis of soil and tree leaves indicates that plants are extracting available heavy metals from the soil environment. Anomalous concentrations of Mn were found in plant tissue. Correlation analysis reveals statistically significant relationships between Mn concentrations and vegetation growth around active producing wellsites. Although single-band video data were generally not sensitive to biochemical variations, findings indicate that transformed video data may have the potential to detect environmental conditions associated with hydrocarbon microseepage.
