Many of the traditional forms of business are currently being questioned by what is known as business process reengineering (BPR) in the search for improvements in systems of organisation. Reengineering is being positively received within the business world, and could, in theory, be potentially applied to other fields, less traditionally related to business techniques, such as university management. This paper analyses how the university systems (focusing on the Spanish case, currently questioned from various social spheres) should be organised from the point of view of this new methodology, proposing a series of measures and changes for improving the system within the philosophy of BPR. |
