A fast adaptive recursive filtering algorithm is proposed. The algorithm is based on the minimization of the cumulative error squares cost function iteratively using the steepest descent gradient technique. This algorithm exhibits a higher convergence rate and less sensitivity to the dispersions of the input-output observations than the well-known LMS algorithm. Moreover, the proposed algorithm requires only the same computational complexity as the LMS algorithm. |
