An iterative scheme is proposed for the optimal control of systems described by delay differential equations with a quadratic cost functional. The scheme generates a partly closed-loop and partly open-loop control. The convergence of the algorithm is established under certain smallness assumptions. The example considered shows that the proposed algorithm works even when the smallness conditions are far from being satisfied. |
