This paper explores the extent to which an aspect of young persons' response to religion may reflect their basic personality. A sample of 283 young people who were studying religion at A level completed the abbreviated form of the Revised Eysenck Personality Questionnaire alongside the Francis Sale of Attitude toward Christianity. The data confirm that it is the personality dimension of psychoticism which is fundamental to individual differences in attitude toward Christianity. |
