Filter design formulations simultaneously controlling both frequency and space-time behaviour are rather interesting for video applications. An FIR design tool addressing such formulations has been built using standard linear programming packages. The result has been quite satisfactory and the cost was very reasonable both in terms of man-time effort and required computing facilities. The construction of such a CAD tool and its performance are the subject of this paper. |
