In a preceding paper (Leipholz, 1986), it has been shown that under specific circumstances the modal approach to problems of non-selfadjoint mechanical systems remains applicable within the regularity domain of the non-selfadjoint operator involved. In this paper, an application of this theory to plate problems is presented where the plate system becomes non-selfadjoint owing to the presence of control forces. |
