In this article we examine N version testing, a reliability testing technique that uses multiple implementations of a common specification to find errors before software is released, not after. We also describe a laboratory that introduces students to N version testing. The laboratory is suitable for a variety of courses, including CS II, Algorithms, and Software Engineering. |
