The authors determine conditions for close-to-convexity (and, in particular, univalence), convexity and starlikeness of confluent hypergeometric functions. Several new examples are considered for the univalence question for the series of the form [image omitted] especially when the coefficients an are real and non-negative for each n≤2. |
