Quasiconformally Equivalent Domains and Quasiconformal Extensions

Title: Quasiconformally Equivalent Domains and Quasiconformal Extensions
Author: Yang, Shanshuang
Appeared in: Complex variables and elliptic equations
Paging: Volume 30 (1996) nr. 3 pages 279-288
Year: 1996-08
Contents: This paper concerns the extendability of boundary quasiconformal homeomorphisms of domains in [image omitted]  and the problem of determining whether or not a domain is quasiconformally equivalent to a given domain. In particular, we prove that any boundary QC homeomorphism of domains bounded by finitely many QC-flat spheres has a QC extension to the entire domain, generalizing some well known results. We also show that if a portion of a domain D near its boundary can be mapped quasiconformally into a portion of a topological n-ball (n ≠ 4) D' near its boundary, then D is QC equivalent to D' generalizing a result of Gehring.
