This paper deals with the analysis for factorial paired comparison experiments with or without ties as modeled within the Bradley-Terry framework. Following Grizzle, Starmer and Koch (1969) a nonlinear transformation is used to produce a linear model in transformed parameters. This approach results in a noniterative procedure for estimating the parameters of the linear model, testing for goodness of fit, and for testing hypotheses about the parameters of the model. |
