Interferences involved in the analysis of NO3 by a specific ion electrode and by a cadmium reduction column are studied. It is shown that the cadmium column is relatively free of the interferences that affect the specific ion electrode. It is shown that carbon is an efficient substance for removing the interfering organic material and in so doing extends the range of sensitivity of the cadmium column considerably. |
