Three materials manufactured by Cytozyme Laboratories, Inc.1 (Soil+, Seed+, and Crop+) of Salt Lake City, Utah were field evaluated in Wisconsin for a total of 14 site-years. In general, these materials claim to improve crop growth, yield, and quality by enhancing biochemical reactions within the soil and the plant. Cytozyme materials were applied to corn (Zea mays L.) and soybean (Glycine max. (L.) Merrill) at label recommendations as various combinations of each product with and without recommended fertilizers. No consistent significant yield increase or improvement in plant nutrient content was observed where the various Cytozyme materials were used alone or in combination with fertilizers.
