In this paper, the concepts of (free) normalizing extension and excellent extension are generalized to the so-called transfinite normalizing module extension, transfinite left free normalizing module extension and transfinite left quasi-excellent extension etc. respectively. Some properties of free normalizing extension and excellent extension are generalized to transfinite left free normalizing module extension, transfinite left quasi-excellent extension and transfinite right excellent extension respectively, which are the regularity, strong regularity, almost Noetherian property, perfect property, coherent property and semiheredity. As applications, some corresponding properties of Munn ring and semigroup ring are obtained. They show that the method of excellent extension is useful for the study of Munn ring and semigroup ring.
