Geographic variation in the flight periodicity of new world mole crickets

Title: Geographic variation in the flight periodicity of new world mole crickets
Author: Fowler, H. G.
Appeared in: Biological rhythm research
Paging: Volume 18 (1987) nr. 4 pages 283-286
Year: 1987-12
Contents: Trapping studies of Neocurtilla and Scapleriscus mole crickets in South America and Florida, USA, revealed a latitudinal variation in the flight periodicity of dispersing adults. These data demonstrate that these subterranean insects are able to respond to seasonal cues to optimize their life cycle.
