This paper compares critically Cabral and Frantz Fanon's readings of class struggle in Africa. Class definitions imported from Marxism had a different utilization by Cabral, more close to a pragmatic interpretation based on the groundroots experience. The divergence between Cabral and Fanon's interpretations can be projected to current debates to demonstrate these are still unresolved issues amongst most African scholars when assessing other revolutionary experiments in the continent. |
