These research abstracts represent a partial listing of recently performed research related to industrial engineering. This information was collected by the AIIE Research Information Committee from abstracts furnished by various organizations conducting research. It does not represent an exhaustive listing, for not all research has been reported. Additional abstracts for current research will be published on a regular basis. Previous publications of research abstracts appeared in the following issues of The Journal of Industrial Engineering: July-August, 1958; May-June, 1959; January-February, 1961; January-February, 1962; May-June, 1963; January, 1966; and February, 1967. In addition, research abstracts are published in each issue of AIIE Transactions, starting with Volume I, No. 1 (March 1969). The Research Information Committee has made no attempt to judge the merits of any research report. It has only collected and classified the reports.
